Fast Track your training straight to the Category C + E HGV Class 1 test with combined Class 2/Class 1 training. There is now no requirement to pass Class 2 before passing Class 1.
​Fast Track Training enables you to become a Class 1 Category C+E driver in the minimum time, save money on taking Class 2 followed by Class 1 independently and opens up all the jobs and opportunities a Class 1 licence provides sooner.
A Category C + E Class 1 licence allows you to drive HGV / LGV vehicles with a trailer. ​With this licence you can apply for a larger range of Class 1 & 2 HGV / LGV driver jobs as soon as you pass your test.

The HGV Fast Track Course:

​
​This Fast Track HGV/LGV Training combines elements of both Class 2 and Class 1 courses. Begin in a Class 2 HGV and with the basics under your belt progress to a Class 1 training vehicle where you will quickly grow confidence manoeuvring in our own private safe lorry yard before progressing to public roads.

When you opt for the Fast Track training you will progress through lessons in a HGV Class 2 vehicle on to reversing a Class 1 HGV on our specially constructed on site reversing area.
 
Take your off road 3A test on site with one of our own approved assessors.
​ 
​You will then have the confidence to take the C+E Class 1 HGV on to the road for lessons with instructors that know what it will take to pass your 3B HGV Class 1 practical driving test.
What to expect:
  • 30 hours of intensive training lessons in total. 
  • Progression lessons in HGV Class 2
  • On Site Reverse lessons in HGV Class 1
  • Uncouple/Recouple tuition
  • Off road 3A test conducted on site by approved assessor
  • On road HGV Class 1 lessons
  • Once you have completed and passed the theory hazard and CPC Mod 2 tests, take the 3B on road practical driving test with a driving examiner at your designated DVSA test centre
  • One to one tuition from ex-examiner Rob Lawler or his team in dedicated category C (class 1) and C + E (class 2) training heavy goods vehicles 
  • Pre course assessment - to identify your strengths and weaknesses
  • Tailored lesson instruction to your needs - we prioritise the right areas to ensure they are up to the standard required to pass your Class 1 test
  • We practice on the assessment centre routes in Yorkshire - you will know them like the back of your hand​

Because:
  1. Rob's inside knowledge means he knows exactly what it takes to pass the test at the Steeton test centre which covers Bradford, Keighley, Halifax, Skipton, Leeds and North Yorkshire.
  2. You will practice on the same routes that you will take on your test
  3. You will tap into the wealth of many combined years of driving instructor experience in addition to 5 years as an HGV examiner at Steeton.
